How to Join
NOTICE: The Sha'tor is currently taking a break from recruitment and is not accepting applications at this time.


Even if we have been approached in-game and interest in joining has been expressed, all applicants are required to submit an application here on our website, along with undergoing an in-character interview.

Both the application and interview allow us to get an idea of who a character is and determine whether the Sha'tor will be a good fit for them. The process also lets us get to know the person behind the character a little bit.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ON YOUR APPLICATION FOR NEW COMMENTS AND WHETHER YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED OR DECLINED.

Officers will always make one comment to show that we have received and seen your application. Additionally, we may also suggest corrections to errors in the application, or ask you to reach out to us in game to discuss any issues so they can be worked through in a more direct and flexible way.

After the application has been reviewed by the officers, you will receive an in-character letter from one of the Sha'tor's leaders asking to meet for the interview. Arranging the meeting is the responsibility of the applicant; to do so, whisper/ask for an officer when you are ready, or to set a time. Interviews are conducted by the Exarch, First Archon, and/or Arbiter, or a representative thereof (an officer alt if their aforementioned leader character is ICly unavailable), and last an hour on average.

The interview is typically when the final decision is made. If you are denied membership into the guild (which is actually pretty rare) following this interview—or your application is declined before the interview even happens (again, rare)—your interest in our guild is still appreciated, and we wish you luck in finding the right home! You are also more than welcome to continue interacting with us.

If we have gotten no response either on the application or in game within or after two weeks, we will close your application. However, you are free to reapply or message us to request your application be reopened.

RETURNING MEMBERS
If you have been out of the guild for 90 days (3 months) or longer, you will be required to submit a new application. A follow-up interview is at the discretion of the officers.

If you are returning within the 90 day period, you may be invited back after speaking with an officer. You will be placed at the Crystalsworn rank, regardless of your previous rank and progression prior to your departure.
